The David Colegrave Foundation

David Colegrave Foundation logo

The David Colegrave Foundation was founded in 1993 in honour of David Colegrave a well renowned seedsman.  Since 2005 the Foundation been fully administered by the HTA under the guidance of the trustees who are all members of the gardening industry.  The Foundation seeks to support students in the development of ornamental horticultural skills in our industry.  The Foundation's support is generally given by financing and supporting scholarships, bursaries and grants for students interested in pursuing a career in this field.  This is normally done by supporting students at the major UK horticultural colleges.  However, the Foundation has also made grants available to students through direct application.  Sponsored scholarships include:

  • The David Colegrave Foundation / Ed Markham International Scholarship Award
  • The Floranova Ornamental research Scholarship
  • The Ball Colegrave Scholarship
  • The Wyevale Garden Centres Scholarship
