The HTA recognise that people are integral to the success of any business. There are good careers available in the garden industry which offer excellent opportunities for development and progression.

The HTA is committed to supporting the industry in ensuring that these opportunities are promoted both externally to the wider public, assisting the recruitment of new people, and internally to the industry, promoting the importance of excellent practice in retaining and developing the right people. 

In 2007, the HTA Training and Careers Committee developed the HTA Strategy for Developing People. This expands on how the HTA will deliver each of the three workstreams.
